Woman ‘mortified’ as date accidentally sends brutal text meant for pal to her

A woman has gone viral on TikTok after she revealed that her Hinge date accidentally sent her a message that wasn’t meant for her just before they were meant to meet up

We’ve all been on the receiving end of a text that clearly wasn’t meant to be for us.

But one woman was left “mortified” after her date sent her an insulting text about her.

The woman, named Meag, was due to meet up with a guy she met on the dating app Hinge when he made a major slip-up.

The pair were setting up plans for their date when the guy accidentally sent Meag a message that was meant for his mate – and if that’s not awkward enough, it was about her.

She shared screenshots of the text exchange on her TikTok account @uhmeaging , in a video which she captioned: “@hinge where is my refund?”

The conversation started with Meag saying: “Let’s meet there this time. Is that ok?”

The guy replied: “Totally understand. I gotta prove I’m not going to murder you I guess.”

But this was when things went wrong.

The man then sent her another text… A screenshot of her Hinge profile and the message: “My date tmrw,” (sick), followed by a laughing emoji.

He continued: “Do not laugh. She’s nice and got jokes but defiantly blah.” (sic)

Invested viewers demanded to know what happened next. But unfortunately Meag revealed there was “no juicy part 2”.

“I texted him the next day saying ‘yeah I’m gonna have to pass’ and he left me on read. Never said a thing.”

Since being posted, the video has racked up more than 736,000 likes and 8,000 comments from people who were stunned by his arrogance.

One person said: “Never date anyone that spells definitely as defiantly. I did for way longer than I should’ve.”

Another wrote: “Send him a screenshot of it and say ‘my date tomorrow. Don’t laugh, he spells definitely ‘deifiantly’ but say he won’t murder me.”

A third commented: “I’m so confused bc you’re pretty and conventionally attractive.” (sic)

Someone else said: “Danny is 5’8 but tells people he’s 6’. I can feel it through the texts,” to which Meag replied writing: “HIS PROFILE SAID 5’11 I knewit was a lie and you’ve confirmed it.”
