ELECTRI’s next Cross-Border meeting will be held in Ambergris Caye, Belize on March 8 to 10, 2017. Participants will gather at the luxurious Grand Caribe Resort:   http://www.grandcaribebelize.com/

One highly-anticipated activity will be a site visit to Blackadore Caye, a luxury 104-acre island in Belize where guests will restore themselves and the environment. Jason McLennon, architect and founder of the Living Building Challenge designed the 68-villa eco-resort. ELECTRI has made special arrangements for Cross-Border participants to tour the property and learn more about its potential positive impact on both eco-tourism and the island.  Learn more about this project at http://theculturetrip.com/central-america/belize/articles/blackadore-caye-leonardo-dicaprio-s-restorative-island/

Another Cross-Border excursion will be a visit to San Pedro Roman Catholic School. This is the site of an early Student Passport project launched by ELECTRI researcher and friend, Dr. Thomas Glavinich, University of Kansas, who died before the project was completed.

Watch for registration details for the 2017 Cross-Border event.
